How to turn text into a video on iPhone

Updated · Data checked on the App Store on 2 November 2026

First decide what you want. A single scene needs a generator such as Kling AI, Runway or Dora. A full short from a script needs an app that assembles scenes, such as Faceless or invideo.

Then: 1. Write one shot, saying who, what happens, where and how the camera moves. 2. Choose vertical for phones. 3. Check the cost before you generate. 4. Change one thing at a time when you retry. 5. Save it to your camera roll and add captions if you post it.

How we checked

On 2 November 2026 we read each app's US App Store page and Apple's lookup data. What each app does comes from its own listing. We ran no quality test.

Prices change often. Check inside each app before paying.

Frequently asked questions

How long should the text be?

For one shot, one or two sentences. Long scripts need an app that splits them into scenes.

Why did my text to video fail?

Apps often block real people, brands or unsafe wording. Change the wording and retry.

Can I do it for free?

All are free to download, and they sell plans or credits. Dora has no free video.
